Hogan Lovells recognizes this commitment is part of our professional practice and collectively we spend 150,000+ pro bono hours per year on work to achieve lasting impact for others. The strength of our pro bono practice lies in our commitment to strategic litigation to bring about systematic change, which is complemented by ensuring we engage our commercial expertise to advise brave and pioneering individuals and nonprofits.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Pro Bono Associate  will work to support a growing social enterprise and pro bono practice administratively, creatively and legally.

  • Furthermore, they will take a leading role in helping to further establish a pro bono ecosystem in Europe (e.g. active role in the European Pro Bono alliance and Pro Bono association across Europe) and represent Hogan Lovells as a leading law firm in pro bono (participating in conferences, client events, recruitment fairs etc.).
  • Finally, the Pro Bono Associate may also lead him/herself some pro bono cases in particular where the time restrictions of the 25 hours would otherwise not allow us to take matters with significant importance for the society and / or for Hogan Lovells.
  • The Pro Bono Associate will also support the other strands of Hogan Lovells’ Continental Europe Responsible Business practice within their capacity.
