As a frontline member of our organization, you will focus on processing applications under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS), Ad Hoc Pro Bono Scheme (AHPBS), and Family Justice Support Scheme (FJSS), utilizing your acumen to ensure fairness and equality. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in corresponding with applicants, social workers, volunteer lawyers and other stakeholders.


  • Play a crucial role in the day-to-day administration of our programmes, ensuring that individuals receive fair representation.
  • Conduct in-depth means and merits tests, leveraging your expertise to determine applicant eligibility and ensure equitable access to justice.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence, using your knowledge to articulate recommendations with clarity and precision.
  • Collaborate proactively with our network of volunteer lawyers, leveraging your knowledge to facilitate successful matches of applicants to volunteer lawyers.
  • Maintain meticulous and well-organized records of all applications, utilizing your attention to detail to manage case records effectively.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline workflow and enhance the efficiency of our schemes, applying your insights to drive process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to interns, sharing your expertise and nurturing their growth in the legal field.
  • Attend meetings, actively contributing insights and taking accurate minutes.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to engage and build strong relationships.


  • Minimum Polytechnic Diploma holders in legal studies or Bachelor degree holders in a related field is preferred. Students currently pursuing a law degree will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in legal administration or a similar role is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to apply legal knowledge within administrative processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively handle a high volume of cases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including applicants, social workers, and volunteer lawyers.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, enabling you to articulate complex legal concepts with clarity and precision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong inclination towards statistics.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and a quick learning ability, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
  • Knowledge of legal aid schemes and processes is advantageous, reflecting your deep understanding of the access to justice landscape.
  • Passionate about pro bono and community work, driven by a strong sense of social justice.
