Legal Services of North Florida seeking a Director of Pro Bono and Volunteer Engagement to join our leadership team in Panama City, Ft. Walton Beach and Tallahassee. LSNF handles more than 7,500 cases a year and does not charge their clients for their legal services. Be a part of a non-profit law firm, with 110+ employees in seven offices across North Florida, that seeks legal justice while understanding the value of work-life balance. Work independently and as part of a team to obtain positive results for clients with a focus on civil law matters such as family law, disaster recovery, veterans' legal services, victims' advocacy, public benefits, and real property law. This position can be located in either our Tallahassee, Panama City, or Ft. Walton Beach offices.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Pro Bono and Volunteer Engagement is responsible for the day-to-day administration of a legal helpline with legal volunteers as well as program improvements including technology advances to increase reach and efficiency.  The primary duties will include recruitment of legal and other volunteers; developing, managing and organizing pro bono and volunteer opportunities; ensuring professional, regulatory and other compliance; implementation of technology tools to support both compliance and volunteers; overseeing legal work of volunteers; supporting community outreach and engagement activities; and , as needed, other program development, including grant-writing and implementation.

The Successful Candidate

Admission to the Florida Bar is required, with a minimum of 3 years as a practicing attorney. Ideal candidates will have experience implementing programs, supervising employees, and administering layered systems successfully. Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a high level of comfort with technology, project management, and systems development. The ideal candidate also must maintain professional standards of an attorney, including occasional direct legal services to clients in support of LSNF's mission. Candidates must demonstrate a history of community engagement, a high level of professionalism and integrity, and a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Legal Services of North Florida.
