This is a senior role at the heart of iProbono’s Accelerate program, which strengthens civil society organisations across South Asia working on rights-based issues. The position leads the implementation of program objectives, guides the identification and support of new partners, and ensures alignment with iProbono’s thematic priorities, including LGBT+ rights, gender justice, migrant workers’ rights, and economic, social, and cultural rights. Working closely with the CEO, you will play a key role in the Accelerate program design, strategy, and advocacy, while also collaborating with the Research and Impact Director to drive robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning. The role represents iProbono externally in high-level forums, contributes to research and thought leadership, and coordinates with internal teams on events, communications, and fundraising. It is a strategic and outward-facing position, requiring the ability to balance program leadership with external engagement to enhance iProbono’s impact and influence in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and growth of iProbono’s Accelerate program, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and thematic priorities.
  • Drive the identification, selection, and capacity-building of partner organisations across South Asia.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on program design, strategic development, and high-level advocacy.
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting in collaboration with the Research and Impact Director.
  • Represent iProbono at senior-level meetings, consultations, and external events to strengthen visibility and influence.
  • Produce high-quality research and analysis on key thematic areas, contributing to thought leadership in the region.
  • Collaborate with the Global Operations Director on HR, recruitment, budgeting, financial reporting, and the smooth running of the program.
  • Coordinate cross-team initiatives, including events, advocacy campaigns, fundraising, and communications, to maximise program impact. 

The Successful Candidate

  • Postgraduate degree in Development, Law, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in the development or rights-based sector, with leadership in program management and strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of domestic and international law relating to vulnerable groups, particularly women, children, and LGBT+ communities.
  • Strong track record of building and managing partnerships with civil society, international networks, and the legal community.
  • Exceptional communication, research, and writing skills in English, with proficiency in at least one South Asian language.
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to deliver results, manage complex projects, and lead crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management systems.
  • Flexibility to travel when required.
