Being organised by PILnet and Asia Pacific Network of Refugees (APNOR) in partnership with UNHCR, TrustLaw, the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN), MAP International, Asylum Services & Knowledge (ASK) and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer), the Asia-Pacific Refugee Rights Pro Bono Pitching Roundtable will bring together law firms and in-house legal teams with refugee-led organisations (RLOs), NGOs and community-based organisations from across the Asia-Pacific region to explore carefully scoped, organisation-led pro bono projects. These may include:
- organisational legal support, such as governance, registration, contracts, employment, compliance, policies, banking or funding structures;
- legal research, comparative analysis, toolkits or training; and
- structured direct-assistance programmes, strategic litigation, clinics, supervision or mentoring models.
