It is designed to be a dynamic five-day initiative featuring in-person sessions in Mumbai, Delhi, and online. These events are designed to build awareness around pro-bono legal services in India by bringing together the legal community and the non-profit sector to foster discussions about the needs of non-profits and the pivotal role of pro bono legal support in driving social impact. Drawing inspiration from similar pro bono weeks organised globally, this initiative aims to enhance collaboration, share best practices, and elevate the commitment to community service within the legal profession.

Objectives of India Pro Bono Week:

• Amplify awareness of pro bono legal services among legal professionals, including law firms, litigating lawyers, in-house counsel, and law students, highlighting the profound societal impact of their contributions.
• Educate non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations and social enterprises about the existence and accessibility of pro bono legal services, equipping them with knowledge to navigate legal compliances and challenges effectively.
• Create platforms for dialogue and knowledge exchange, through events such as legal health clinics, Pro Bono Rountables, and expert speaking sessions.
• Highlight successful pro bono collaborations and share best practices and strategies within the legal community.
